Integrated holistic action for the transformation of communities in economically marginalized areas in Tanzania and beyond.

The nature of HATUA

HATUA is a non-governmental and not-for-profit Company Limited by guarantee without share capital whose mission is to facilitate holistic positive transformation of individuals, families and communities. HATUA seeks to accelerate holistic transformation of Tanzania’s environmentally marginalized areas through providing appropriate training and other forms of technical support in social education and development, education, discipleship, improved crop farming and animal rearing, and livelihood skills, to or on behalf of such areas. HATUA shall plan and implement out all tasks and every task in a way that is not dissonant with the Holy Bible in its sound evangelical interpretation. HATUA, a Kiswahili word for “steps”, seeks to encourage all of us to take a step to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities. As an acronym, HATUA stands for Holistic Action for the Transformation of Underdeveloped Areas.
